- District Day & Twilight Camps: Conducted by volunteers from the local area, each district’s day camps offer a variety of different activities to allow campers to experience outdoor programming around the camp’s theme. Most camp’s activities include STEM, nature, shooting sports, games, and possibly aquatics.
- Camp Snyder: Choose a camp format that suits you: Day Camp, Bear Camp, or Resident Weekend.
- Camp Ross: Pick a week at Goshen Scout Reservation’s dedicated overnight Webelos Camp – Camp Ross.
- Goshen Scout Reservation: Choose the camp that best suites your unit – whether that’s program-oriented Camp Olmsted, traditional Camp Bowman, or Goshen’s specialty camp, Camp Marriott. There are programs for new Scouts, older Scouts, and all Scouts in between.
- Provisional Camp at Goshen Scout Reservation: Can’t make it to camp with your Troop or Crew? Individual Scouts BSA can go to camp on their own or with a group of your friends.
- Lenhok’sin High Adventure at Goshen Scout Reservation: Hit the Trail – whether by foot or by boat with our local High Adventure base. Your unit can backpack the trails of Goshen, visit the peaks and stop at our outposts for a variety of adventure activities. Or paddle down the James River on our Canoe Trek. For ages 13 and up.
- GOAT: The Goshen Order of the Arrow Trail crew is a two week program for Order of the Arrow youth hosted at Lenhok’sin High Adventure. Ages 14 and up.
- Scout Specialty (Merit Badge)Week at Camp William B. Snyder: Attend on your own, with your unit, or with your friends and work on some specialty merit badges at some of the unique Camp Snyder facilities, including Michael’s Woodshop, Sally’s STEM Shack, and more.
- Camp Catoctin: Fredrick District’s entirely volunteer-run resident camp operates one week a year. In addition to standard camp program, we excel in offering unusual merit badge programs with our experienced subject matter experts. Previously known at Camp Airy BSA.
- High Adventure Base Trips: Take the trip of a lifetime with the NCAC High Adventure Committee’s trips to National High Adventure Bases of Philmont, Seabase, and Northern Tier. The logistics are planned so you can focus on the fun! For individuals and groups. Ages 14 and up (13 with criteria).
- Join Camp Staff: Be on camp staff at your favorite camp for this summer, whether that’s a Goshen camp or at Camp Snyder.

Provisional camp is offered for individual youth to attend camp on their own or in a small group without their unit, and without having to bring adult leaders. Open to all Scouts BSA, ages 11-17.
- Provisional Camp at Goshen Scout Reservation: Make new friends as you enjoy all the activities — whether that is New Scout Quest or Trailshead for new Scouts, ATV for older Scouts, exciting camp favorites like swimming and rifle shooting, or unique offerings at Eagle’s Eyrie, The Guild, or the Tech Center, from metalworking to robotics.
- Specialty Weeks at Camp William B. Snyder: Attend as a day or overnight camper and work with some of our council’s best merit badge counselors. Have a chance to earn both classic and specialized merit badges at some of the unique facilities. New Scouts should check out the Green Bar Bill program to work on rank advancement.
High Adventure trips for individual Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Sea Scouts.
- Provisional Treks at Lenhok’sin High Adventure: Sponsored by the High Adventure Commitee, there are two different trek options for individuals. Backpack to outpost activities on the Trail Trek or whitewater canoe on the River Trek. Come check out our local high adventure base at Goshen Scout Reservation. Ages 13+.
- Goshen Order of the Arrow Trail Crew (GOAT) at Goshen Scout Reservation: Join a crew of Order of the Arrow youth dedicated to cheerful service. The first week is trail maintenance and the second week is the full Lenhok’sin trek experience. A great way to do high adventure at a reduced rate! Ages 14+.
