The “Good Scout” award is an annual recognition given by the National Capital Area Council to individuals who exemplify outstanding civic service and support within their communities. Recipients of this award embody the principles of Scouting America, including:
- Active and engaged citizenship
- Exemplary moral character, with a commitment to serving others
- Adherence to the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives
After careful consideration, we regret to inform everyone that the 2026 Montgomery County Good Scout Award Dinner has been cancelled. While we are disappointed not to gather with you as planned, we are already looking ahead and will hold the event in early 2027. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We hope you will join us when the dinner returns.
We look forward to working with the community to support Montgomery County Scouting in 2027! Until then, thank you for all you do for our Scouts!
