Mission

Enrich the NCAC Scouts program by enhancing their awareness of International Scouting and by promoting contacts with Scouts from other countries.

Objectives

1:  Promote the earning of International Scouting Awards, including the International Spirit Award, the Scouter’s Knot, Interpreter’s Strip, World Conservation Award, and various Merit Badges with international requirements.

2:  Provide opportunities for council Scouts to interact firsthand with Scouts and Scouting programs of other countries.

3:  Provide Visitor Support to Scouts and Scouters visiting from other countries, including those coming to Jamborees in the USA.

4:  Enhance international Scouting awareness through displays, presentations, and Embassy events.

5:  Provide international Scouting information via appropriate social media channels.

6:  Encourage financial contributions to approved organizations that Support International Scouting, including the World Friendship Fund.

7:  Expand the number of Council Scouts and Scouters involved in international Scouting, including World Scout Jamborees and regional and national jamboree/camporee events, along with local participatory events like the Jamboree on the Trail (May)Jamboree on the Air/Internet (October)and the International Peace Light (December).

8:  Manage the NCAC International Fund and provide scholarships to youth seeking to participate in World Jamborees.
